About this ICESCAN

When a dog or cat goes missing, the person who finds it usually has no idea who the owner is. With this tag on the collar, they can scan the QR code or tap the tag with a phone and see your contact details.

You decide what is shown: your phone number, and any medication or other things worth knowing about your pet.

How it works

  1. Activate Scan your ICESCAN, enter your email address and type in the code from the email.
  2. Fill in Emergency contacts, allergies, medication and anything else you want to add.
  3. Scan Hold a phone against the ICESCAN or point the camera at the QR code, and your details open.

Questions about ordering and using it

Can anyone scan my ICESCAN?

Yes, with almost any smartphone. The QR code can be scanned with the camera. For NFC, hold the phone against the ICESCAN.

On recent iPhones, NFC works without any setting up. On some Android phones you first need to switch NFC on in the settings, usually under Connections. If NFC doesn't work, the QR code always will.

The emergency page is available in English, Dutch and Spanish; which one appears depends on the language of the phone that scans it.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Your details open in the browser, both for you and for whoever scans your ICESCAN. You don't need a subscription either.

How do I activate my ICESCAN?

Scan the ICESCAN with your own phone and enter your email address. We'll email you a code. As soon as you enter it, the ICESCAN is linked to you and you can fill in your details straight away. You don't need an account with a password.

How much is delivery?

Nothing. Delivery is free to addresses in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain (mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands).

At the moment we can't deliver to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, or to other countries.

Can I return my order?

Yes, within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason. Register your return using the link in your confirmation email (or email info@icescan.nl) and send the ICESCAN to ICESCAN, Deursenseweg 12, 5351 NN Berghem, the Netherlands. A letterbox-sized parcel is fine.

Once we have received your return, we'll refund the purchase price within 14 days, using the payment method you paid with.
