Mia is six and loses her parents at a theme park. A member of staff notices her bracelet, scans it with his phone and calls her mum straight away. A quarter of an hour later, Mia is back in the queue for the carousel.
The ICESCAN itself holds no data, only a unique link. You decide what appears when someone scans it.
Scan your ICESCAN with your own phone and enter your email address. The code we email you makes it yours. No account, no app.
Up to five emergency contacts, allergies, medication, medical conditions or a note. Protect sensitive sections with a password. You can make changes at any time.
A bystander or first responder holds a phone against your ICESCAN or scans the QR code. Your details open in the browser, with a call button for your emergency contacts.
What you can fill in
For anyone who wants others to know who they are in an emergency, and who to call.
On a school trip, at a theme park or on the beach. If your child gets separated from you, whoever helps them can call you straight away.
Kids' bracelets
Running, cycling or a long walk: you rarely take your ID with you. Your bracelet, or the sticker on your helmet, comes along anyway.
Bracelets and stickers
With dementia, diabetes or a heart condition, responders need to know quickly what's going on and who to call. A brooch or key ring is always with you.
Brooch
Whoever finds your dog or cat scans the tag on its collar and can call you straight away. No chip reader needed.

Goed systeem.
You only fill in what a responder needs to know, and you can change it whenever you like.
Privacy policyYour details are stored encrypted in a secure database. Even we can't simply view them.
There is no data on the ICESCAN itself. If you lose it, we can unlink it from your details.
You log in with a code we email to you.
Put sections behind a password. Anyone who scans your ICESCAN then only sees what you make public.
A bracelet, sticker, key ring, brooch or pet tag with an NFC chip and a QR code. Anyone who scans it with a phone sees the emergency details you have filled in: who you are, who to call and what responders need to know.
ICE stands for In Case of Emergency, the international abbreviation for emergency contacts.
Yes, with almost any smartphone. The QR code can be scanned with the camera. For NFC, hold the phone against the ICESCAN.
On recent iPhones, NFC works without any setting up. On some Android phones you first need to switch NFC on in the settings, usually under Connections. If NFC doesn't work, the QR code always will.
The emergency page is available in English, Dutch and Spanish; which one appears depends on the language of the phone that scans it.
No. Your details open in the browser, both for you and for whoever scans your ICESCAN. You don't need a subscription either.
That's up to you; nothing is compulsory. You can choose from these sections:
Anyone who scans your ICESCAN sees the details you have filled in. You can protect sensitive sections with a password; only people you give that password to can see them.
So only fill in what is useful in an emergency, and never login or bank details.
